This Community Members Charter complements the Terms and Conditions (hereinafter the "T&Cs"), which remain fully applicable:
The Community Members Charter (hereinafter the Members' Charter or the Charter) governs the participation of Users (hereinafter "Members") in the Communities available on the Application. Its purpose is to define the conditions of participation, the rights and obligations of Members within the Community.
A Community is a group of Users gathered to share collective statistics. Users may choose to join one or more Communities.
WeWard reserves the right to remove or restrict a feature at any time, without prior notice.
1. Free participation and individual responsibility
Each Community is created by a User called the Owner. The Owner is the Administrator of the Community and may choose to appoint other Administrators. The Owner freely defines the objectives of their Community. The Owner is responsible for the Administrators they appoint. Administrators are responsible for the acts and actions of the Community. WeWard is held harmless from any liability related to the creation, management, administration, and deletion.
WeWard does not intervene in the process of selecting, validating, or ranking Communities. WeWard does not certify the legitimacy or the objectives proposed by Administrators. Thus, a Member acts in a completely free and autonomous manner when choosing to join one or more Communities to "walk together."
Consequently, each Member is advised to exercise caution, discernment, and responsibility when selecting the Communities they join. It is their responsibility to carefully read the description of each Community and to inform themselves about its objectives, level of commitment, and its Administrators.
2. How to join a Community
A Member may join a Community in two ways:
- By selecting an existing Community via the list accessible in the "Communities" tab of the Application;
- By entering a unique code provided by an Administrator or by Members of the Community in order to join that specific Community.
There is no limit to the number of Communities a Member may participate in simultaneously.
3. Personal data
If the Member has a public profile on the WeWard application, all Users can access the data displayed on their profile.
If the Member has a private profile on the WeWard Application, only their step count (daily, record, and total since joining the Community) is accessible to other members of the Community.
For more information, you can consult our Privacy Policy:
4. Voluntary participation, suspension and withdrawal
Each Member may at any time, going forward:
- Temporarily suspend their participation in one or more Communities;
- Permanently stop their participation in one or more Communities without prior notice.
5. WeWard's absence of liability
As a reminder, WeWard does not intervene in the process of selecting, validating, or ranking Communities. WeWard does not certify the objectives proposed by the Owner.
WeWard does not perform any verification as to the actual destination of the Wards attributed to a Community.
Thus, Members acknowledge that their participation relies on the good faith, transparency, and moral commitment of the Administrators, without the Application being held responsible in the event of misuse of the Community feature.
6. Reporting inappropriate content
Administrators must respect and ensure that the Community respects:
- public order;
- national security;
- human dignity;
- equality among individuals; and
- WeWard's ethical values.
Accordingly, for example, the Administrator undertakes not to create a Community that incites hatred, violence, or discrimination.
In this context, Members must report any violation of this obligation, of the T&Cs, or any content, behavior, or project that appears illegal, fraudulent, or contrary to applicable laws and regulations, or that undermines public order, public safety, human dignity, etc. These reports must be sent to the following address: contact@wewardapp.com. The report must include: (i) the name of the Community concerned and a description of the illicit content, (ii) the reasons why the content is considered illicit, and (iii) the contact details of the reporter.
These reports will be reviewed by the Application's teams, which reserve the right to take the necessary measures: notify the Administrators, suspend or delete the Community, or even exclude the User Account if necessary.
7. Removal of a Member or a Community
Administrators may, at their discretion, remove any Member from their Community.
A Community may be freely deleted by its Owner or by WeWard, notably in the event of prolonged inactivity of the Administrator, non-compliance with the Administrators' Charter, the T&Cs, or for any other reason deemed legitimate by WeWard.
Upon the permanent deletion of a Community, its Members will be notified.
