Our team is proud to announce that WeWard will be joining forces with AIDS Walk New York!

On May 19th, thousands of people will gather in Central Park, New York to walk and raise funds. WeWard will be there to witness this incredible event, organized to support the vital programs of GMHC (Gay Men's Health Crisis). The goal is to raise the necessary funds for New Yorkers living with or affected by HIV and AIDS.

On the WeWard app, the campaign will start even earlier! Starting on May 8th, you will be able to join the GMHC championship through the app and join your team in recording your steps until May 22nd! WeWard will then be rewarding the teams with the most participants and the most steps with donations to GMHC in their names, ranging from $1000 to $5000.

For this, we are counting on you to make your pedometers sizzle and collect as many stars as possible!

What is AIDS Walk New York?

This nonprofit organization was founded in the 1980’s. Activists had already realized that to eradicate HIV/AIDS, it was not enough to only fight the virus, but they also needed to combat societal discriminations like racism and sexism. Since then, AIDS Walk New York can be characterized as resilient as they have managed to stay standing through difficult times such as the 2008 financial crises and the Covid-19 pandemic. GMHC is the primary beneficiary of AIDS Walk New York.

The event also supports other AIDS-fighting, social justice, and public health organizations across three states through the Community Partnership Program (CPP).

Aids Walk New York brings together values that are dear to WeWard. We are particularly excited and lucky to be able to attend in person and organize a championship on the app for the occasion!
