Deezer, the global music streaming service, has trusted Weward to develop a new way to acquire users through Weward’s Branded Challenge. Maëlle Gurib, Media & Acquisition Manager at Deezer shared her thoughts about this collaboration.

Diversifying from existing acquisition & affiliation channel

Weward reached out to us with this new product, Branded Challenges, to generate more downloads and more conversions. We’ve been pretty interested in the conversion funnel experience they offer, and the nativeness of the offer that is integrated along other walking challenges. Beyond conversions, this was a great way to showcase Deezer along with a positive product as Weward is !

Looking for significant volumes to make the collaboration sustainable

We have been pretty impressed with the ability to generate traffic quickly. Over the collaboration, we saw a significant increase in installs and free trial subscription.

Creating awareness and content around our app

Beyond the challenge itself and the positive visibility on the app, Weward developed some cool content like creating Wewarder’s playlist on Deezer and a running street interview that has been promoted through email. A good way to remind their users about the challenge, in a native way.

New opportunities ahead

Now that we understand the strength of this model, and knowing that Weward has a wide range of user persona, we will now work on launching dedicated WeWard offers, only available for a few days, to keep generating profitable gro
