WeWard Celebrates World Charity Day: A Company Walking for Generosity

article written by

On September 5th, 2023, it's World Charity Day ! A special occasion that highlights the importance of giving to help those in need.

As the name suggests, this day is dedicated to generosity, kindness, and sharing, values that are an integral part of WeWard's DNA... and much more!

    Why September 5th?

This date was chosen by the United Nations General Assembly in 2012 to pay tribute to Mother Teresa, a global symbol of charity who passed away on this date in 1997.

Generosity at the Heart of WeWard

Since the beginning of 2023, WeWard has shown unwavering commitment to charity by funding no less than 28 community projects like The Oceancy, Make-A-Wish or Handicap International for more than 120,000,000 wards donated.

This has resulted in an impressive total donation of 600,000 euros to our partner organizations, demonstrating our strong determination to support meaningful causes.

WeWard users are well aware of our mission: to promote the work of charitable organizations and transform every step into an opportunity to change lives. By collaborating with nearly forty associations, we've touched a hundred charitable projects in various fields, such as education, the environment, health, and much more.

Projects That Transform Lives

The funds we've raised have been distributed to dedicated organizations doing exceptional work to support essential causes around the world. Thanks to the generosity of our users, we've been able to assist numerous charitable organizations for sick children, women's rights, and regions in need.

For instance, we have provided access to drinking water for more than 20,000 Cameroonians, financed breast cancer research and set up a school library for more than 1,000 children in Morocco!

Each of these projects is tangible proof of the positive impact that WeWard and its community can have on the world. Every ward invested represents an opportunity to create a better future for those who need it most.

A Future of Promise

The initial steps we've taken are full of promise, and we're determined to continue on this path. At WeWard, we believe that charity is more than just an act of generosity; it's a mindset, a mission, and a passion that we share with our users and charitable partners.

By transforming walking into a positive and supportive action, we're doing our part to create a better world.
